ICC Champions Trophy 2017 is going to be an important series for Virat Kohli and Co. BCCI just announced 15 men India squad for this important series which will e played in England and Wales in the month of June.
Rohit Sharma returned to Indian cricket team after the injury during New Zealand series, and Mohammed Shami who was also was injured got a place in 15 man squad. Most of the faces in the squad is similar, there is no great surprise and no youngsters included in the series.
The performance of players in IPL didn’t make a great impact in the team selection. The reason might be to avoid taking such risk for an important series. The experience of good players might give an extra advantage in pressure situations in the series.
There is no big changes in bowling department. Duo spinners kept their place in team where Shami got a call for the series. Bhuvi is one of the bowler who will take advantage of England wickets where all are looking for Bumrah’s bowling in England.
Ajinkya Rahane, Kedar Jadhav and Manish Pandey also included in 15 pool squad. There are lot of questions asked about not considering players like Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik Gmabhir and Uthappa.
